Policy Statement for Organizations that Maintain Sites on the Law College Website
The Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law World Wide Web Site is an official publication of Ohio Northern
University's Claude W. Pettit College of Law. It is maintained by Taggart Law Library and Pettit College of Law for the purpose of
providing information about the law school, its faculty, and the opportunities it offers to those who are interested in pursuing a legal
education.
Law School student organizations may develop web sites on the College of Law's web site consistent with theResponsible Use
Policy of Ohio Northern University. Individual students may not maintain web sites on the College of Law's web site.They may,
however, do so on the University's web site. Information published on the College of Law's web site may not be used in any manner
prohibited by law or disallowed by licenses, contracts, copyrights, or University regulations. Photographs, drawings, video clips or
sound clips should not be used without permission of the owner of rights to these works. All individuals in a photograph should sign
a release giving permission for use of the photograph. Any student organization maintaining a web site must provide the
organization's name, e-mail address, date of the most recent update, and the ONU College of Law disclaimer statement (located
below) conspicuously placed at the bottom of its site's home page. The organization's home page must also contain navigational aids
to help the user return to theONU College of Law home page.
No information may be included on a web page that reflects or is derived from the lectures, presentations, writings or other works
(oral, written, or otherwise) of ONU College of Law faculty members, including, but not limited to, student notes and outlines
created from information supplied or created by such faculty members, without the express consent of the faculty member or
members from whose lectures, presentations, writings or other works such information is derived.
Before a web site may be established, a student organization's faculty advisor must provide approval of the site content on behalf of
the organization to the Universityweb coordinator (webmaster@onu.edu ). For more information about how to create a web site,
