About
the Moot Court Program
The
Moot Court Program at Ohio Northern University is a program
for student participation in appellate advocacy, trial
advocacy, and client counseling competitions. The organization
is composed of an Executive Board and the Board of Advocates.
The Executive Board, under the supervision of a faculty
advisor, administers the Moot Court Program. The Board
of Advocates consists of students who have participated
on a Regional or National team, and the top four students
from the Dean Guy Intra-School Appellate Advocacy Competition.
The Moot Court Program is funded by Ohio Northern University.
The Moot Court Program provides law students with an opportunity
to improve their trial, oral advocacy and brief writing
skills. This is accomplished through participation in
appellate and trial advocacy competitions, as well as
client counseling competitions. Team members have the
opportunity to compete at both the Regional and National
levels. We enjoy an outstanding reputation nationally,
and we participate in the most prestigious moot court
competitions in the United States.
