Biography:
Victor L. Streib is a Professor of Law at Ohio Northern University and an
attorney specializing in violent crime and the death penalty. Professor Streib has
taught at six institutions and has authored over 300 books, chapters, articles, and
papers during his academic career. His research has been cited 28 times in
opinions of the United States Supreme Court (1986-2005). As an attorney, he has
served as a prosecuting attorney and a defense attorney, and he has represented
juveniles and women convicted of murder before the United States Supreme
Court and several state supreme courts. He also has testified before committees of
the United States Congress and of seven state legislatures on these issues. His
media interviews include 60 Minutes, All Things Considered, Time Magazine, Wall
Street Journal, New York Times, and London Times.
