Professor Traster practiced law in Des Moines, Iowa, before joining the faculty. He is a frequent continuing legal education lecturer on various subjects including insurance law and improper closing argument in civil and criminal litigation. Professor Traster has been editor-in-chief of The Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers Litigation Journal and regularly consults in the areas of insurance law, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and other tort litigation. During 1993-1994, he served as co-chair of the Insurance Law Section of The Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
