Jeffery L. Benson

Adjunct Professor of Law

Biography:

Professor Benson joined the College of Law as adjunct professor in Spring, 2008. Benson is currently employed by Marathon Oil Company filling the position of General Attorney, Business Development. He has been the lead attorney on numerous acquisitions including the negotiation and formation of Pilot Travel Centers LLC, the largest national truck stop operation in the United States - a $ 1 billion transaction.

Prior to joining the Marathon Oil Company, Professor Benson worked for Turner & Benson, a small general practice firm specializing in labor relations, personal injury litigation and small business representation.

Professor Benson obtained his J.D. from the Ohio State University where he was an active member in the Moot Court, Phi Delta Phi, Student Bar Association and was the recipient of a College of Law Scholarship.

Professor Benson volunteers with the United Way, Boy Scouts of America and the Ohio State University Alumni Association.
