The following are permanent faculty committees pursuant to the college constitution:
- ADMISSIONS, READMISSIONS, AND RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE, which shall be concerned with all policy
questions involving the admissions, readmissions and recruitment of students;
- PERSONNEL COMMITTEE, which shall be concerned with all questions involving recruitment of faculty,
administrators, and librarians of the College of Law;
- CURRICULUM COMMITTEE, which shall be concerned with policy questions involving the course of study at the
College of Law;
- PLACEMENT COMMITTEE, which shall be concerned with aiding students in finding suitable positions;
- TENURE COMMITTEE, which shall be concerned with those questions of retention, promotion, and tenure as specified
in the bylaws.
Selection of members of permanent committees.
- Membership on the Personnel Committee, the Curriculum Committee, and the Placement Committee shall consist of
faculty appointed by the Dean and students appointed by the Student Bar Association. The number of faculty members on each
of these committees shall be no fewer than three (3) and the number of students on each of these committees shall be no more
than two (2). All members of these committees shall have the right to participate and vote in committee meetings.
- Membership on the Admissions, Readmission and Recruitment Committee shall consist of no fewer than three faculty
members.
- Membership on the Tenure Committee shall consist of all tenured faculty.
Special Faculty Committees.
The Faculty may provide for any special committees which the Faculty may find necessary or
advisable in the bylaws of the Faculty. The responsibilities and powers of such committees, the number and qualification of
members, and the selection of members shall be provided for in the bylaw provision establishing the special committee. Special
committees may include non-faculty members who shall have the right to vote at meetings of the special committee. The
number of non-faculty members appointed to special committees shall be limited in number to one (1) less than the number of
faculty members of the same committee.
Decanal Committees.
The Dean may appoint such decanal committees as the Dean may find necessary or advisable. The
responsibilities and powers of such committees, and the number, qualification, and selection of members shall be determined by
the Dean. Decanal committees may only be appointed to assist the Dean in performing those duties outlined in Article II of this
Constitution.
