Welcome to Ohio Northern University’s College of Law – Ohio’s second oldest of nine law schools. Founded in 1885, ONU Law has more than 5,000 alumni across all 50 U.S. states, an outstanding reputation throughout major law firms across the country, and a vibrant student community unmatched by other law schools.

ONU Law is a small private university located on 342 beautiful acres of trees, ponds and lush green plant life. Annually, the college of law enrolls more than 310 students from more than 40 states in our full-time Juris Doctor degree and concurrent JD/LL.M. and JD/MPPA programs.

With an enviable 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio; consistently strong bar passage and employment placement statistics; accomplished, nationally recognized faculty; and a dynamic and vibrant student community, the ONU College of Law is preparing students for the challenging legal profession in the 21st century.

  • Founded in 1885 and fully accredited by the ABA in 1948, Ohio Northern University College of Law is the 2nd oldest law school in Ohio.
  • In 2011, ONU Law celebrates 126 years of legal education.
  • ONU Law awards more than $4million in scholarship offers each year. Scholarships are renewable for students' second and third years dependent upon their maintaining a 3.0 GPA.
  • For eight consecutive years, ONU Law's job placement rate at nine months after graduation has exceeded the national average.*
  • 96% of 2010 ONU Law graduates were employed or seeking an LL.M. within nine months of graduation. National Average: 90.5%*
