This is a program designed for those students who are interested in a career in bankruptcy. The program encompasses three
semesters and a summer. The students in this program must take the bankruptcy course the second semester of the second
year. Starting with the summer between the second and third years, the student is placed in one of three different externships
each semester: with a bankruptcy judge, a bankruptcy trustee, or a sole practitioner handling bankruptcies for low-income
clients. In the third year, the student is placed in one of these positions each semester with the goal of acting as an extern in
each of the three different positions by graduation. Bankruptcy externs will have the opportunity to perform research,
writing, amd make court appearance. Completion of this demanding program not only provides the student with all the skills
necessary to excel in the bankruptcy arena upon graduation, but also gives students a strong competitive edge in the job
market.
